Two new Novasep preparative HPLC systems (15 cm columns) have been installed in a new purpose built GMP facility for chromatographic purification. SAT have been completed and we expect to be fully GMP operational in September.

New NOVASEP prepHPLC systems
Due to increased demand for preprative HPLC purification Syntagon has invested in two new NOVASEP prepHPLC systems (Hipersep Lab II pack 2) equippped with 15 cm columns. Planned delivery and installation in August 2015. In order to accomodate the two new Novasep HPLC systems two new production suites will be built. (December 2014).

Construction of the new Production suites
Construction of the production suites for preparative chromatography started. We expect to have completed the construction work and IQ/OQ tests by mid July says our project leader Sakari Salla (Salla Pharma Consulting). (May 2015).

Syntagon Baltics investing in a new pilot plant suite that will harbour a 50 L Buchi glass lined reactor and a 20 L Buchi autoclave. Â We expect to be up and running by Mid February says M.Sc Inese Reine, Team leader of Organic chemistry Syntagon Baltic.

Dr Agnese Jurkevica appointed Site Manager Syntagon Baltic. Agnese has a PhD in analytical chemistry from University of Cincinnati Ohio, and has built up the QC unit in our Latvian laboratory and demonstrated excellent leadership capabilities.

George Köllner Head of QA at Syntagon
We are happy to announce that George Köllner has accepted the position as Head of QA at Syntagon. George brings more than 20 years of experience from the Pharmaceutical industry. Most recently from AstraZeneca where he led the global QA-unit within Process R&D. He will lead us through a period of intense focus on our Quality management systems. All in a effort to excel at the upcoming PAI from FDA Q3/Q4 this year.
